Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire and North Manchester.
Our very simple promise is that we are here to say yes to children and families. This leads us to provide care wherever and whenever they need it, not just in our hospice but also in their homes through our hospice at home service, and in local hospitals; it leads us to keep building on our ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission by developing new ways of caring for children and families; and it leads us to keep saying yes to the many local children and families who are not yet receiving the help they need.
And by providing superb nursing care, days out, therapy, practical help (like doing the ironing!), we weave a little magic into families’ lives. The kind of magic that lights up faces with a smile, creates beautiful memories, and gives families precious time together.
But we couldn’t do any of that without the support of our local community. And there are lots of magical ways to get involved. From donating money, your time as a volunteer, or your good quality but unwanted stuff to our charity shops to taking part in one of our challenges (skydive, anyone?) or coming along to an event – it all helps. And means the world to us and the local children and families we care for.
