Creative Marketing Executive

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (Part Time Considered)

This year we have some exciting plans to grow and develop our offering at Harveys, which includes improving our communications to our customers. This is where you come in!

Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and passionate Marketing Executive to join our dedicated team. As Marketing Executive at Harveys, you will play a key role in delivering the day to day marketing campaigns for the store, in line with the overall marketing strategy.

The role will report into the Marketing Manager who you will work closely with to ensure key business objectives are met- including boosting brand awareness, increasing footfall to our store, and driving online sales. Your role specifically will be to meet these objectives through engaging and high quality content and communications across our website, email, social channels and in store POS.

The ideal candidate will be both creative and practical with experience in retail and marketing. You will have a good understanding of marketing principles and the ability to execute campaigns across multiple channels. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the latest trends and techniques and be excited to try new things.


Key Responsibilities:

The main remit of this role will be content creation and working together with the marketing manager you will deliver the day to day marketing communications. You will create engaging content for our website, social media, and email newsletters, including copywriting, visuals, and video.

  • Website Management: Ensure all in-store promotions, seasonal sales, new product launches, and events are effectively promoted on the website. You will also be responsible for loading new products on the website and working with the department managers to maintain stock levels

  • Email Marketing - Producing engaging weekly customer emails in line with the marketing calendar.

  • Social Media- Effectively delivering the social strategy on a day to day basis across Facebook and Instagram. Create quality content in line with the marketing calendar that is interesting, informative and engaging for our customers

  • In Store POS- Creation of in store POS to communicate key promotions

  • In Store Events & Experiences: Managing the admin and set up of the instore events and experience calendar.

  • Marketing Admin: As well as content creation you will be the person in the business that handles all marketing admin including managing the image library, maintaining range plans, loading products onto the website and supporting with future projects to improve our marketing systems which could include data input tasks.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales managers to ensure marketing campaigns align with store goals and product availability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a marketing role, ideally within the retail sector or the ability to demonstrate a significant interest and understanding of these areas.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for a variety of platforms. Excellent attention to detail when it comes to spelling and grammar.

  • Photography & Videography Skills: Basic skills in photography and video editing for content creation. You don’t need to be a professional photographer but you do need to know what makes a good photo, feel confident taking phone photos for social media and using editing apps for professional results.

  • Creativity: A natural creative, you will have a creative mindset with the ability to develop unique marketing ideas and bring them to life.

  • Design: You will be confident in your design skills and will be familiar with Canva or other design software and be able to produce both digital and print assets.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency: Strong knowledge of marketing software and design tools eg Canva & Mailchimp essential.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Shopify and Mailchimp strongly desired

  • Experience and knowledge of ecommerce a distinct advantage. 

  • Knowledge of Retail Marketing: A background in retail marketing, fashion/ beauty or working within a department store environment is a distinct advantage.

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics preferred

  • Working knowledge of SEO a distinct advantage

  • Education: A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
