Seasalt Cornwall traces its roots to a small shop in Penzance, opened in 1981 to sell practical workwear to the local fishing and farming community.

From those modest beginnings, a family business grew into one of Britain's most distinctive womenswear brands, shaped by the wild coastal landscape, the artistic heritage and the unhurried character of Cornwall. The Sailor Shirt is probably the piece Seasalt is best known for: a GOTS-certified organic cotton Breton top with yarn-dyed stripes that hold their colour wash after wash. It speaks to the brand's broader approach, taking timeless shapes and executing them in fabrics worth wearing. Beyond the Bretons, the range covers linen dresses, jersey tops, print tunics and outerwear, with prints developed by Seasalt's own in-house artists and illustrators, drawing on Cornish wildflowers, coastal landscapes and the sea. The result is a collection with a character you won't easily find elsewhere.
